Case Studies / Influencer Marketing
KFC South Africa teamed up with rapper Nasty C for a limited-edition menu, available in more than 700 stores from 17 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. We ran the influencer campaign behind it, with 23 culture-first creators delivering 2.2 million views and more than 227,000 likes across TikTok and Instagram. It is part of our influencer marketing work.
KFC South Africa was launching a limited-edition menu with Nasty C, headlined by the Nasty C Burger, and it was only around for a few weeks over the festive season.
Our brief was to build youth-focused buzz around the collaboration through creator content that felt immediate and easy to consume, rather than like traditional advertising.
Across 23 creators on TikTok and Instagram, the campaign delivered 2,188,554 views, 227,104 likes and 9,176 comments, shares, saves and reposts. TikTok drove just over two thirds of the views, with 1.49 million on TikTok and 700,007 on Instagram.
The influencer strategy was built around 23 creators chosen to get the message across quickly, in a way that was immediate and easy to consume.
We prioritised culture-first creators over purely data-driven profiles, so the content reflected real Mzansi moments, familiar formats and recognisable social behaviour. That let the message land visually, without over-explaining or relying on heavy scripting.
By leaning into these kinds of creators, the campaign showed up as natural social content rather than traditional advertising, strengthening relatability, belief and audience connection.
